Emerald Services of WNY Inc. was established in April of 2001 by Edward Shanahan.  We are a Buffalo based company that relies on quality workmanship and punctual service to generate successful relationships with our customers.  Our summer commitment is 60% residential and 40% commercial / industrial, site work construction.  In the winter season we are a 100% commercial / industrial snow and ice management company.  As a reputable company we maintain the highest level of professionalism and stay abreast of our industry by belonging to associations, furthering our education, and maintaining constant communication with other contractors in our area.

Some of Our Experience:

2017 Village of Kenmore

As low bidder and general contractor for the "Crosby St sidewalks" we worked in alliance with Nussbaumer and Clarke (The engineer for the project.)  Completing the project in a week, while it was originally slated for 30 days.  We subcontracted Tree Care of WNY Inc. to provide us with the necessary equipment and experience to remove 30+ trees as part of the project.

As general contractor for this project, we interpreted architects drawings, provided a construction and safety plan, and used our experience to enhance the construction process of the project.  We maintained access to the property, and addressed owners concerns as needed.

2011   Sidewalk Replacement

   Town of Brighton, 2600 Elmwood Ave., Rochester NY
As concrete contractor for the Town of Brighton, and in coordination with the highway department.  We provided remedial concrete work to areas throughout the town.  We maintained proper traffic control as per NYSDOT and provided all necessary repairs within the scope of work.

As general contractor for SUNY Geneseo, our company assessed architectural drawings, provided a construction schedule, managed subcontractors, and completed the project in a safe and efficient manner.

2010 – Current Concrete Sidewalk Replacement

As a general contractor for properties owned by Ciminelli Property Management, our company assessed sites for accessibility, traffic control, and over all completion of concrete remedial work in a safe and timely matter.

As concrete contractor on multiple sites for Municipal Pipe LLC, our company coordinated work crews with the general contractor, established work time lines, and engaged in cooperative strategizing and planning.

As concrete contractor, and in coordination with Springville Highway Department, we were in charge of remedial concrete work throughout the village of Springville.
